States are beginning to implement the new Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), a new federal law that governs the public workforce system. It is the first update of the nation’s employment system since the late 1990s. Drastic changes has been made for the way the 26 federal grant making agencies give out money as a result of the reauthorization.
Going after money requires a lot of hard work; it is probably the toughest part of any grant-seeker’s job. Grant-seekers should be willing to go hat-in-hand for seeking funds, and should be able to portray why their organization – as opposed to some other – deserves to be funded. It requires the grant-seekers to make their organization look as promising as possible to the funders or potential donors. There is no dearth of opportunities out there – the giving world consists of more than 1.5 million nonprofit organizations registered in the United States.
In this webinar, expert speaker Frank Klimko will assist you in leveraging funding opportunities under the WIOA and provide you the tools to shake that money tree.
The nonprofit world is not always pretty; however, from experience one knows that it is always very competitive. This session can help you by providing hidden details, for example, the new WIOA made sector training a requirement for states. These are training programs which promise nice jobs without college degrees and a fresh set of initiatives are coming up. You learn more about such hidden details in this session.
